Inocencia Vieira de Jesus (15 July 1906 – 2 April 2021) was a Brazilian supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by Gerontology Research Group (GRG). If her age is verified, she may have been the third-oldest living person in Brazil (after Francisca Celsa dos Santos and Antonia da Santa Cruz) at time of her death.

Biography[]

Inocencia Vieira de Jesus was born on a farm called "Barra" in Gloria, Bahia, Brazil on 15 July 1906. Her parents were Cicero da Conceicao and Joana Leite da Conceicao. She moved to Paulo Afonso, Bahia around 1913.

She was a cousin of the cangaceiro Gato of the Lampião band. She married Antonio Teotonio (now deceased) and had eight children (including one adoptive daughter).

As of July 2019, she had four living daughters, 16 granchildren, 34 great-granchildren, 15 great-great-granchildren and one great-great-great-granchild.

She received the Covid-19 vaccine in March 2021 at the age of 114, possibly making her one of the oldest people to receive it.

Inocencia Vieira de Jesus died in Paulo Afonso, Bahia, Brazil on 2 April 2021 at the age of 114 years, 287 days.
