Isabel Alvarado Lopez [Spanish: Isabel Alvarado López] (9 August 1911 – 12 December 2023) was a Venezuelan supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Early Life[]
Isabel Alvarado was born in the village of San Nicolas, Portuguesa State, Venezuela on 9 August 1911. Her father was a rancher whose lands were outside the city of Guanare (also in Portuguesa). She is the eldest of seven siblings, all of whom she outlived. She lost her mother when she was about three or four years old and her father remarried, from that union five children were born. She is from the first marriage.
Her youth was spent in the city of Guanare, where she narrated there. There were evenings where she sang to herself and recited poetry. She was related to very distinguished families in that city, such as the Balda, the Unda, the Zuniga, and the Heredia Angulo families.
Adult Life and Career[]
Alvarado worked as a teacher until she met her first husband. At the age of about 28 (or 29), she moved to Caracas, where her only daughter, Duilia, was born in 1941 (and is still alive). Her husband, Rafael Bordon, died in 1953. They were already separated when he died.
Alvarado worked in the Ministry of Public Works, in charge of the pharmacy at the Santa Ana Clinic, the Agricultural and Livestock Bank, and lastly, the Ministry of Communications, today called Infrastructure, until her retirement.
Later Life[]
Alvarado has lived with her only daughter for almost 50 years (as of 2022). For many years, she has been eating papaya daily, as well as chicken, fish, and vegetables.
In August 2021, Alvarado celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian. As of her 111th birthday in 2022, she wasn't hypertensive or diabetic, though she suffered from osteoarthritis.
Isabel Alvarado died in Caracas, Venezuela on 12 December 2023 at the age of 112 years, 125 days. At the time of her death, she was the fourth-oldest known living person in Venezuela, behind Juan Vicente Perez Mora, Ramona Casamayor de Medina and Carmen Lucia Betancour de Velasquez.
