Ishi Hayashi [Japanese: 林イシ] (9 July 1854 – 21 May 1964) was a Japanese centenarian who was the oldest (known) living person in Japan at the time of her death.

Biography

Hayashi was born in Japan on 9 July 1854. On 16 September 1963, she became the oldest (known) living person in Japan, following the death of Haru Komai.

Hayashi died in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, on 21 May 1964, at the age of 109 years, 317 days.
