Istvanne Fejes (née Erzsébet Soltész; born 15 February 1911) is a Romanian-Hungarian supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography

Istvanne Fejes was born in Nagybánya, Austria-Hungary (present-day Baia Mare, Romania) on 15 February 1911. Her parents were Elemer Soltesz, a bishop and fellow in protestant Theology, and Rosa Zsigmond. She had four siblings: Elemer (1901-1920) Judit (1902-?), Marta (1904-?) and Janos (1916-?). They moved to Budapest in 1923.

She studied music and became pianist. She workes as piano teather for decades and toured in Matra into the 60s.

She married Istvan Fejes about 1947 and changed name. They get at least two daughters.

At the age of 85, she traveled to the United States, where her daughter researched, for some weeks with her grandchild.

In later life, she moved to Szeged, where her daughter and son-in-law lived. She spent the time with went to church, the hairdresser and eat ice cream.

She celebrated her 110th birthday in February 2021.

Fejes currently lives in Szeged, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary, at the age of 110 years, 335 days. She is currently the oldest living Romanian-born person and the second-oldest living Hungarian person, behind a unidentified women born 1910.
