Italo Sarrocco (11 May 1898 – 8 January 2007) was an Italian centenarian who was the oldest living man in Italy at the time of his death.

Biography[]

Sarrocco was born in Italy on 11 May 1898. Sarrocco was a veteran of World War I, serving in the Battle of Vittorio Veneto in 1918. Later in life, he was honored for his service with the Order of Vittorio Veneto. Sarrocco became the oldest living man in Italy following the death of 108-year old Dante Gavagnin on 2 June 2006.

Italo Sarrocco died on 8 January 2007 in his home town of Rivisondoli, Italy, aged 108 years, 242 days. He was the oldest man ever from Abruzzo when he died A record he still holds as of 2023 Delfino Borroni, also 108 years old at the time, was named his successor as Italy's oldest living man.
