James Johnson, Sr. (29 December 1906?/c.1912 – 14 December 2017) was an American supercentenarian claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
James Johnson claimed to have been born in Waynesboro, Georgia, USA on 29 December 1906, however his actual birthday appears to be around 1912. He moved to Dunnellon in the 1940s. He married Lessie Mae Johnson and had 13 children. His wife died in July 2006. He drove until 2012.
On his 110th claimed birthday in 2016, he had nine living children: seven daughters Marry Chester, Marilyn Bowens, Sandra Maxwell, Beverly McKinnon, Ruthie Johnson, Geraldine Johnson, Vivian Ingram, and Lessie Lewis, two sons, Jessie Johnson, and James Johnson Jr., 59 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 27 great-great grandchildren. He lived with his daughter Beverlyn McKinnon.
Johnson died in Dunnellon, Florida, USA on 14 December 2017 at the claimed age of 110 years, 350 days.
