James McCann (24 June 1813 – 16 August 1928) was an American longevity claimant from Arkansas.
Biography[]
James McCann claimed that he was born in United States on 24 June 1813. He was an officer's steward aboard the U.S.S. Powhatan and served under the alias, "James Lopinto."
He served a total of 53 years years in the navy. At the time of his death on 16 August 1928, he claimed that he was 115 years, 53 days old and the oldest person in Arkansas.
His carefully preserved service record entitled him to a military burial with full honors.
