Jane Lister (née Coney; 3 February 1816 – 25 April 1923) was a British centenarian who was the oldest known living person in the United Kingdom at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Jane Lister was born in Minting, Lincolnshire, UK on 3 February 1816. Her parents were John Martin Coney (1777–1860) and Mary Wattam (1778–1863). Her husband was Northing Dixon Lister. She became the oldest living person in UK after the death of Frederick Stabbins in 22 January 1922.
Lister died in Lincoln, UK on 25 April 1923 at the age of 107 years, 81 days. She was buried in Canwick Cemetery, Lincoln. Her successor as the oldest person in UK was Martha Truelove.
