Jeanne Venkatsami (12 January 1915 – 13 October 2022), known as "Matante Suzanne", was a Mauritian centenarian.
Biography[]
Jeanne Venkatsami was born in Curepipe, Mauritius on 12 January 1915. She did not had an easy life. She worked as a maid for years to support her son before settling in Port Louis. However, he later died in an accident at the age of 40.
In January 2015, she celebrated her 100th birthday and became a centenarian.
Jeanne Venkatsami died in Les Salines, Mauritius on 13 October 2022 at the age of 107 years, 174 days.
