Jennie Fanshier (née Suchy; 26 January 1900 – 16 May 2010) was a validated American supercentenarian.

Biography[]

Fanshier was born Jennie Suchy on 26 January 1900 in Olmitz, Kansas. She worked as a farmer and a rancher, as well as a teacher at the Stafford County rural school.

She married John Henry Fanshier on 4 January 1921 in St. John, Kansas. Her husband died from an illness on 18 December 1973, after 52 (almost 53) years of marriage.

Fanshier was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Social Friends Club, numerous bridge clubs, and the Farm Bureau.

In January 2010, Fanshier celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.

Fanshier died on 16 May 2010 in Great Bend, Kansas at the age of 110 years, 110 days. At the time of her death, she had one daughter, eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
