Jenny Cecilia Karlsson (née Pilblad; 17 October 1891 – 13 July 2002) was a Swedish supercentenarian who was the oldest known living person in Sweden at the time of her death. Her age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography

She was born in Svansbo, Vastmanland, Sweden on 17 October 1891 to Johan Philblad (born 1844) and Anna Philblad (1853–1931). She had 11 siblings.

She became the oldest known living person in Sweden, following the death of 112-year-old Elsa Moberg on 20 November 2001.

Karlsson died in Torslund, Vastmanland, Sweden on 13 July 2002 at the age of 110 years, 269 days.[1][2][3] Following her death, then-110-year-old Johanne Svensson became the oldest known living person in Sweden.
