Jessie A. Massing (née Misener; 3 October 1910 – 24 July 2021) was a Canadian-born American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Massing was born on 3 October 1910 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. She then lived in Lewiston, New York, USA. She and her husband had two children, both sons, one of whom died around 2010.
When she was 107, Massing moved in to an assisted living facility in Buffalo, New York. In October 2020, Massing turned 110, but the celebration had to be limited to a small gathering of family members due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Massing has humorously described her secret to longevity as "Canadian cheese".
Massing died in Buffalo, New York, USA, at the age of 110 years, 294 days.
