Jessie Penn (née Cornelius; 18 May 1889 – 30 June 2001) was an American supercentenarian who is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Jessie Penn was born as Jessie Cornelius in Walnut Grove, Alabama, United States on 18 May 1889. She married Louis H. Penn in 1916 and moved to Birmingham where he became Assistant Fire Chief of Birmingham Fire Dept. Penn served as organist at Calvery Baptist Church for 40 years before retirement.
Penn died in Birmingham, Alabama, United States on 30 June 2001 at the age of 112 years, 43 days.
