Jesus Elias Loaiza Arenas [Spanish: Jesús Elías] (born 22 February 1905?/13 September 1920) is a Colombian longevity claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). His claim, if accurate, could make him the oldest living man in the world and oldest man of all time.
Jesus Elias Loaiza Arenas claims to have been born in Amalfi, Antioquia, Colombia on 22 February 1905. He was the son of Miguel Antonio Loaiza and Zoila Rosa Arenas.
In February 2021, Loaiza Arenas celebrated his claimed 116th birthday with his family.
Jesus Elias Loaiza Arenas currently lives with his wife Maria Ermelina Monsalve de Loaiza (aged 84 in 2015) and some other family members in El Zacatin, Amalfi, Antioquia, Colombia, at the claimed age of 116 years, 247 days.
Research conducted in 2016 has indicated that he was actually born on 13 September 1920, and is using the birth record of an older brother (citation needed).
