Johannes Tauser (née Poulsen; 23 February 1902 – 12 January 2008) was a Faroese-Danish centenarian.
Biography[]
Johannes Frederik Karl Sofus Tauser was born in Eidi, Faroe Islands on 23 February 1902. His parents were Jacob (Eidis-Jakup) Poulsen and Maria Olevina (née Olsen). He had eight siblings.
At some point in life, he moved to Denmark.
He married Aleksandra Kristine Christiansen and had four children. He got widowed in 1943.
He married Elin Nielsen and had two children. He got widowed in 1998.
Johannes Tauser died in Helsingoer, Denmark on 12 January 2008 at the age of 105 years, 323 days. He was the oldest man ever born in Faroe Islands until Theodor Thomassen passed his age in mid-2014.
