Josephine Jeanne Elisabeth "Marie-Jeanne" Faure-Geors [French: Joséphine Jeanne Élisabeth] (30 January 1899 – 1 April 2009) was a French supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Josephine Faure-Geors was born in Embrun, Hautes-Alpes, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France on 30 January 1899. Her parents were Joseph Faure-Geors (1863–?) and Louise Chancel (1871–?). She had two siblings: Marie Eugenie (1894–1981) and Joseph Antoine (1902–1988). She never married.

Her age was verified by Martin Miet and Luc Le Lay, and (posthumously) validated by the GRG on 11 October 2013.

Josephine Faure-Geors died in Embrun, Hautes-Alpes, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France on 1 April 2009, at the age of 110 years, 61 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest living person in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur.
