Josino Levino Ferreira (3 April 1913 – 5 October 2025) was a Brazilian supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of his death, he was the second-oldest known living man in Brazil, South America, and the world, behind Joao Marinho Neto.
Biography
Josino Levino Ferreira was born in Conceicao, Areia, Paraiba, Brazil, on 3 April 1913. For his entire career, he worked as a farmer. In 1941, he married Sebastiana Ana da Conceicao, who died in 2001, at the age of 87.
On 27 January 2022, following the death of 110-year-old Jose Carau de Cunha, he became the oldest known living man in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte.
On 3 April 2023, he celebrated his 110th birthday, becoming a supercentenarian.
His age was verified by Guilherme Matheus de Sousa Melo, and Maria Lindacir Ferreira, and validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) on 16 September 2024.
Josino Levino Ferreira died in Coronel Ezequiel, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, on 5 October 2025 at the age of 112 years, 185 days.
