Jozef Daniska [Slovakian: Daniška] (3 June 1909 – 23 September 2014) was a Slovakian centenarian who was the oldest known living man in Slovakia at the time of his death.
Biography[]
Jozef Daniska was born in the village of Čierna Lehota, Rožňava District, Austria-Hungary, (present-day Slovakia) on 3 June 1909, where he spent the first 15 years of his life. Later he moved to Nováky, Slovakia where he spent most of his life.
He became the oldest known living man in Slovakia, following the death of 105-year-old Anton Dobrota after January 2013.
Daniska died in Nováky, Slovakia on 23 September 2014 at the age of 105 years, 112 days. According to his own wishes, he was buried in his native village of Čierna Lehota. Following his death, then 103-year-old Rudolf Kosa became the oldest known living man in Slovakia.
