Juana Badillo Escalon [Spanish: Escalón] (1 February 1915-28 July 2024) was a Mexican centenarian whose age is validated by LongeviQuest (LQ).
Biography[]
Juana Badillo Escalon was born in San Jose de Ipoa, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, on 1 February (claims 3 January) 1915.
At some point, she got married and had 16 children (twelve sons and four daughters). She worked in the fields together with her husband to support the family. Her husband died of an injury he sustained after falling from a cart. In 1970, she moved to Matehuala.
In December 2020, she fell two times and has been unable to walk ever since. As of January 2023, she was living with her 73-year-old daughter, Ventura Gallegos Badillo. At the time, she had 80 grandchildren, 172 greatgrandchildren, 80 great-great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-great-grandchildren (six generations in total).
Badillo Escalon died in Matehuala, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, at the age of 109 years, 178 days (claims 109 years,207 days).
