Julie Bizzarri (13 March 1913 – fl.3 July 2020) was an American centenarian who was one of the oldest known survivors of COVID-19, having recovered from the disease at the age of 107.
Biography[]
Julie Bizzarri was born in The Bronx, New York City, New York State, USA on 13 March 1913, as one of eight children. Her parents, both Italian immigrants, lived in the Bronx until they died, with Bizzarri acting as primary caregiver to her late mother, and later caring for some of her siblings as well.
Bizzarri worked in the newspaper printing business for a few years before later becoming an office worker.
In May 2020, Bizzarri contracted COVID-19 during the coronavirus pandemic; however, as of 3 July 2020, she successfully recovered.
Julie Bizzarri was last reported to be alive on 3 July 2020 at the age of at least 107 years, 112 days. At that time, she lived at The St. Patrick’s Home Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in The Bronx, New York City, New York State, USA.
