Juliette Hammond (née Lamoureaux; 8 October 1907 – 20 October 2017) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group.
Biography[]
Juliette Lamoureaux was born in Putnam, Connecticut, USA, on 8 October 1907. Her parents were Louis and Delia (Dupont) Lamoureaux. She was the oldest of ten siblings. She married Ernest Hammond in the 1930s and they raised a family in West Hartford, Connecticut. For many years, she worked at the Royal Typewriter Company. She also wove silk parachutes during World War II.
After Ernest's death, Hammond moved to live with her daughter, Carol Parrott, in early 1970s. She moved to a nursing home in Canton, Connecticut, in 2012.
Juliette Hammond died in Canton, Connecticut, USA on 20 October 2017 at the age of 110 years, 12 days.
