Kalle Rahomaki [Finnish: Kalle Rahomäki] (27 January 1911 – 14 October 2017) was a Finnish centenarian who was the oldest living man in Finland since the death of Harry Holtti on 27 August 2016. He was also the oldest known living veteran in Finland, having participated in the "Winter War" during the Second World War.

Biography

Kalle Rahomaki was born in Lammi, Finland, on 27 January 1911. He had nine siblings (two sisters and seven brothers), one of whom was his twin brother Viljo. His family had a small farm. His father died when he was 7 years old. He married a woman named Rauha in 1948 in the Church of Helsinki.

In early 2016, Kalle Rahomaki said his secret to longevity was "exercise and the support of his wife". He also said still singing Rauha to his 102-year-old wife every day.

Rahomaki died in Kauniala Hospital (where he was living with his wife at least since 2016), Kauniainen, Finland, on 14 October 2017, at the age of 106 years, 260 days.
