Karel Kasparek [Czech: Karel Kašpárek] (21 December 1905 – 4 August 2013) was a Czech centenarian who was the oldest living man in the Czech Republic at the time of his death.
Biography[]
Karel Kasparek was born in Náchod, Hradec Kralove Region, Austria-Hungary (present-day Czech Republic) on 21 December 1905. With his wife, he raised one son. He worked as a carpenter until he was 90 years old.
He became the oldest living man in the Czech Republic, following the death of 106-year old Gabriel Miksa on 26 January 2011.
Karel Kasparek died in Náchod, Hradec Kralove Region, Czech Republic on 4 August 2013 at the age of 107 years, 226 days. Following his death, then 106-year-old Jan Nitka became the oldest living man in the Czech Republic.
