Karlheinz Stauber (25 October 1914 – 17 Febuary 2024) was a German centenarian who was the oldest known living man in Germany and the oldest living Wold War II veteran in Germany at the time of his death.

Biography[]

Karlheinz Stauber was born in Landshut, Bavaria, Germany on 25 October 1914. He had three siblings.

After graduating from secondary school, Stauber studied business administration in Munich. He later became the head of department at SAG.

After World War II, Stauber met a woman named Dora, and they later got married. They had two children: Karl (now deceased) and Gisela. They also have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Following the death of 110-year-old Hans Schornack on 22 February 2023, he became the oldest known living man in Germany.

Karlheinz Stauber died in Landshut, Bavaria, Germany on 17 Febuary 2024 at the age of 109 years, 115 days. Following his death, then 108-year-old Karl Haidle became the oldest known living man in Germany.
