Karolyne Nemeth (née Eszter Tamok) [Hungarian: Németh Károlyné Tamók Eszter] (15 August 1879 – 23 July 1987) was a Hungarian centenarian who was the oldest known living person in Hungary at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Károlyné Németh was born in Gávavencsellő, Szabolcs–Szatmár–Bereg County, Austria-Hungary (now Hungary), on 15 August 1879.
On 29 October 1986, following the death of 107-year-old Emilné Flöchel, she became the oldest known living person in Hungary.
Károlyné Németh died in Nyíregyháza, Szabolcs–Szatmár–Bereg County, Hungary, on 23 July 1987, at the age of 107 years, 342 days. She was the last known surviving person in Hungary born in the 1870s decade. Following her death, then 106-year-old Károly Burján became the oldest known living person in Hungary.
