Karolyne Nemeth [Hungarian: Németh Károlyné] (née Eszter Tamók; 15 August 1879 – 23 July 1987) was a Hungarian centenarian who was the oldest known living person in Hungary at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Karolyne Nemeth was born in Gavaszencsello, Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg County, Austria-Hungary (present-day Hungary) on 15 August 1879.
Nemeth died in Nyiregyhaza, Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg County, Hungary on 23 July 1987 at the age of 107 years, 342 days. She was the last known living person in Hungary born in the 1870s decade. Following her death, then 105-year-old Henrik Havasi became the oldest known living person in Hungary.
