Katherine "Kate" Lowenthal (née Hasinsky; 9 October 1898 – 3 December 2009) was an American supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2014.
Biography[]
Kate Lowenthal was born as Katherine Hasinsky in New York, United States on 17 September 1898 (some sources claim 9 October). Her parents were two Russian immigrants: Solomon Baer Hashinsky and Sadie (Bador) Freidman. She had multiple siblings. She married a man with the name Lowenthal in 1930.
Kate Lowenthal died in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, Florida, United States on 3 December 2009, at the age of 111 years, 55 days. At the time of her death, she was the second-oldest (known) living woman in Florida.
