Katerina Heyman (8 August 1896? – 17 June 2010) was a South African supercentenarian claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Katerina Heyman was born in South Africa on 8 August 1896. She was three years old when Anglo Boer War begin, and she and her family fled to mountain caves.
When she was growing up, there was no TV and radio, so one of her brothers played boeremusiek on guitar and concertina to entertain them.
Katerina Heyman died in Millenium Sentrum nursing facility in Kensington, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa on 17 June 2010, at the age of 113 years, 313 days.
