Kateryna Karpivna Kots [Ukrainian: Катерина Карпівна Коць] (3 October 1916 – 16 January 2026) was a Ukrainian centenarian who was the oldest known living person in Ukraine at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Kateryna Kots was born in Staryi Chortoryisk, Wolyn Voivodeship, Poland (now Volyn Oblast, Ukraine), on 3 October 1916, and had two older siblings. Her father died when she was only a year old. At some point, she married her husband, Yefim, and had three children.
At the time of her 108th birthday in 2024, she was cared by her two daughters, while her grandson Mykhailo was fighting against Russia in Donetsk Oblast. At the age of 109, she had 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Kateryna Kots died in Chartoryisk, Volyn Oblast, Ukraine, on 16 January 2026, at the age of 109 years, 105 days. After her death, [[Olena Rybalko]] became the oldest living person in Ukraine.
