Kathe Demhard [German: Käthe Demhard] nee Völlmec (15 December 1906 - 11 January 2017) was a German supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2022.
Biography[]
Kathe Demhard was born in Burstadt [German: Bürstadt], Hesse, Germany, on 15 December 1906. She married and had two daughters She lived independently in Worms until aged 105. Thereafter, she moved to live with her daughter in Linden in the Gießen district. Demhard enjoyed travelling, even at a very high age. She visited the United States, Siberia (at age 99) and Portugal (at age 104). Demhard died in Linden on 11 January 2017 at the age of 110 years, 27 days.
