Katherine Aiken (née Grob; 23?/24 March 1879 – 12 January 1990) was a validated American supercentenarian.

Biography[]

Katherine Aiken was born as Katherine E. Grob in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio on 24 (or 23) March 1879. Her parents were Jacob Frederick Grob and Elizabeth Mitchell. She married Howard Aiken on 12 October 1897. Together, they ran a plumbing business. The couple had one child in total. She was active in the Republican party. She became a widow in 1929. She moved to the Geneva area in 1980. She was the oldest charter member of the Brooklyn chapter 790 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Cleveland.

Katherine Aiken died in Rae-Ann Nursing Home, Ohio, USA on 12 January 1990, at the age of 110 years, 294 (or 295) days. Revalidation research suggests she was a day older. At the time of her death she had one granddaughter, three great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
