Katsuno Mizuno (Japanese: 水野かつの; 31 March 1896 – 12 October 2006) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Mizuno was born in Japan on 31 March 1896. She was able to work in the fields until the age of 90, and to weed her garden until the age of 100. Her age was verified by Japan’s MHLW, Ken Matsuoka and Robert Young, and validated by the GRG on 7 December 2006.
Mizuno died of natural causes in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, on 12 October 2006, at the age of 110 years, 195 days.
