Kesa Yamada (Japanese: 山田けさ; 30 March 1907 – 15 August 2020) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Kesa Yamada was born in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, on 30 March 1907. In her later life, she lived in Kanra, Gunma Prefecture, Japan.
In January 2019, Yamada was reported to be the oldest living person in Gunma Prefecture; her predecessor, Masu Koido, went to limbo. Her age was validated by the GRG on 25 August 2019. Yamada died on 15 August 2020 at the age of 113 years, 138 days. She is the oldest known person to ever die in Gunma Prefecture.
