Kiku Nishimura [Japanese: 西村キク] (2 May 1897 – 22 August 2008) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Kiku Nishimura was born in Japan on 2 May 1897. In September 2007, she was reported as the oldest living person in Satsumasendai.
Nishimura's age was verified by Japan's MHLW and Stefan Gelow, and validated by the GRG on 26 March 2008.
Kiku Nishimura died in Satsumasendai, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan on 22 August 2008, at the age of 111 years, 112 days.
