Kiyo Komatsu (27 January 1911 – 10 March 2025) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was oldest known living person in Saitama Prefecture at the time of her death.

Biography[]

Kiyo Komatsu was born on 27 January 1911 in Kuroshima Village, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.

On 27 January 2021, Komatsu celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian. In December 2023, she was listed (anonymously) as the oldest living person in Asaka by city statistics.

At the age of 114, Komatsu was in incredible shape, able to walk unassisted and go up and down stairs.

Kiyo Komatsu died in Asaka, Saitama Prefecture, Japan on 10 March 2025 at the age of 114 years, 42 days after a cold.
