Klavdiya Ivanovna Kostina (Russian: Клавдия Ивановна Костина; 14 May 1910 – fl.14 May 2020) was a Russian supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Klavdiya Kostina was born in the village of Gubino, Lebedyansky District, Lipetsk Oblast, Russia (then Russian Empire), on 14 May 1910. At the age of 18 (or 19), she married Ivan Dmitrievich Kostin. Her husband was a year younger than her. After the wedding, the couple moved to the Central Street of the village of Gubino, where she lives ever since. They had 4 children before the beginning of World War II, and one son after the war ended. In 1942, near Minsk, her husband was captured and taken to Germany. He had tried to run away several times but always failed. After the war, he was rehabilitated and returned to Russia, where the couple worked together on a collective farm. After the war, she was awarded the medal "For Labour Valour". Their marriage lasted for 56 years, until her husband's death. Two of her adult daughters and a son died from serious illnesses.

At the age of 110, she had six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters.

Kostina was last known to be alive on 14 May 2020 at the age of 110 years, 0 days. At that time, she lived with her daughter, Natalya Ivanovna (born c.1938) in the village of Gubino, Lebedyansky District, Lipetsk Oblast, Russia.
