Kostadinka "Kosa" Momirovic [Serbian: Костадинка Момировић] (6 March 1900 – 8 July 2009) was a Serbian centenarian who was the oldest known living person in Serbia at the time of her death.

Biography[]

Kostadinka Momirovic was born in the village of Izvor near Paraćin, Kingdom of Serbia (present-day Serbia) on 6 March 1900. Her father died in the war with the Turks.

After her birth house was burned down, at the age of 17 she married Vladimir Momirovic. The couple had two daughters: Milka and Bozidarka. She worked all her life as a day laborer.

In 1968, she was issued a permanent ID card. Her husband, Vladimir Momirovic lived to be 93, and died in 1982.

On her 107th birthday in 2007, she received a prosthesis from a dental technician from Paracin, Vladimir Milosavljevic. She lived with her grandson Radivoje Sutic and daughter-in-law Milanka, who took care of her.

She became the oldest known living person in Serbia, following the death of 107-year-old Rade Grujicic on 4 December 2007.

Kostadinka Momirovic died in the village of Bujlane, municipality of Paraćin, Serbia on 8 July 2009 at the age of 109 years, 124 days. Following her death, then-107-year-old Jovo Latinovic became the oldest known living person in Serbia, and then 106-year-old Mileva Grbic became the oldest known living woman in Serbia.
