Biography[]
Lewis Alexander was born Herbert Alexander Lewis on 27 August 1910 in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England. He first began appearing in both films and TV shows alike in uncredited minor parts in the mid-1960s. A distinguished looking gentleman with a noble bearing and a neatly trimmed mustache, Alexander was frequently cast as party guests, government officials, or patrons in either casinos or restaurants. Moreover, Lewis often appeared onscreen alongside his wife and fellow background player Aileen Lewis. Alexander died at the age of 100 years, and 57 days on 23 October 2010 in Felpham, West Sussex, England.[1]
He was the second person associated with the Whoniverse to become a centenarian after Eileen Winterton. He was also the oldest living person associated with the Whoniverse from Bryan Langley's death on 31 January 2008 until his own death. He's currently the tenth longest-lived person associated with the Whoniverse.
