Lidia Menis Peresini (30 November 1906 – 22 September 2018) was an Italian-Costa Rican supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in Costa Rica.
Biography[]
Lidia Menis Peresini was born in Artegna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy on 30 November 1906. At some point in her life, she moved to Costa Rica. She had at least one granddaughter: Evangelina Sanchez.
In November 2016, she celebrated her 110th birthday.
She became the oldest known living person in Costa Rica, following the death of 110-year-old Francisca Castillo Carrillo on 20 December 2016.
Menis Peresini died in San Jose, San Jose Province, Costa Rica on 22 September 2018 at the age of 111 years, 296 days. Following her death, then-108-year-old Claudia Soto Saborio became the oldest known living person in Costa Rica.
