Lidmile Junkova [Czech: Lidmila Junková] (25 February 1913 – 26 August 2022) was a Czech centenarian who was the oldest living person in the Czech Republic at the time of her death.

Biography[]

Lidmile Junkova was born in the village of Vermerovice, Pardubice Region, Austria-Hungary (present-day Czech Republic) on 25 February 1913.

Junkova and her husband Karel got married in 1938 in the church in Vermerovice, they had two children. After her husband's death, Lidmila moved from the estate from Vermerzovica to her daughter's family in Orlice in Letograd.

She became the oldest known living person in the Czech Republic, following the death of 109-year-old Anna Koudelkova in October 2021.

In her semi-supercentenarian years, Junkova was bedridden.

Junkova died in Letohrad, Pardubice Region, Czech Republic on 26 August 2022 at the age of 109 years, 182 days. Following her death, then 109-year-old Zdenka Kasparova became the oldest living person in the Czech Republic.
