Lily Wilkinson (née Harvey; 8 February 1891 – 27 September 2001) was a British-American supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) on 6 October 2022.
Biography[]
Lily Wilkinson was born as Lily Harvey in South Shields, Durham, England, United Kingdom on 8 February 1891. She married James B. Wilkinson in 1915; they had a son.
In 1921, the family moved to the United States; they settled to San Jose, California, then to Castro Valley. She was widowed in 1952. Wilkinson was a member of Eastern Star for more than 70 years. In 1989, she moved in the Masonic Homes of California in Union City.
Lily Wilkinson died in Union City, Alameda County, California, United States on 27 September 2001 at the age of 110 years, 231 days. At the time of her death, she had four great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
