Laurina "Lina" Farnetani Galvani (7 January 1913 – 17 May 2023) was a Brazilian supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Lina Galvani was born in Sao Joao da Boa Vista, Sao Paulo, Brazil, on 7 January 1913. Her parents were Italian immigrants.
At some point in her life, she married Rodolpho Galvani, with whom she had four children. In 2003, her children and founding partners created the Lina Galvani Institute, a Civil Society dedicated to support initiatives that favor community development. At the age of 100, she had 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. At the time, she was still able to do household chores and participate in the solidarity works in Sao Paulo.
In January 2023, Galvani celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Lina Galvani died in Sao Paulo City, Sao Paulo, Brazil on 17 May 2023 at the age of 110 years, 130 days.
