Liselotte Edith "Lisa" Erickson (née Zinkeisen; 19 April 1914 – 28 July 2020) was a German-born American centenarian who was one of the oldest victims of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Early Life[]
Erickson was born on 19 April 1914 in Berlin, Germany, to Moritz and Ida Zinkeisen. She had one sister, Ruth. In her youth, she was a nationally ranked doubles tennis player, and was a spectator at the 1936 Olympics.
During World War II, she met American soldier Clarence Erickson, and in 1947 she emigrated to Duluth, Minnesota to marry him. The couple had one son, Michael. Erickson became a U.S. citizen in 1950, and qualified as a licensed practical nurse in 1952. She worked at St. Mary’s and St. Luke’s hospitals in Duluth, and was also a private duty nurse.
Later Life and Death[]
Erickson enjoyed returning to Germany for visits, as well as spending time at the beach in Hawaii and Passe Grille, Florida during the winter. After her husband died in 1994, she lived alone in her home for two decades, and still had her driver’s license until she turned 100. She spent her final years in an assisted living facility in Duluth, Minnesota. Erickson had two grandchildren.
In late June 2020, Erickson was diagnosed with COVID-19 during routine testing. She died on 28 July 2020 at the age of 106 years, 100 days. Although she no longer tested positive for it in her final days, the virus was a contributing factor to her death, making her one of the oldest victims of the pandemic.
