Ljubica Loncar Vukovic [Croatian: Ljubica Lončar Vuković] (7 March 1905 – 17 February 2012) was a Croatian centenarian who was the oldest known living person in Croatia at the time of her death.
Biography
Ljubica Loncar was born as Ljubica Vukovic in the village of Miocic, Sibenik-Knin County, Austria-Hungary (present-day Croatia) on 7 March 1905. Her father had a shop in the village of Siveric. Her mother's maiden name was Cvjetic. Durind World War II, she lived in the village of Siveric. In 1940s, she worked in mines. She had 4 children (1 son and 3 daughters). Her husband died in 1941.
Until 1997, she lived in the city of Knin, Sibenik-Knin County. After that, she moved to Sibenik and lived there with her grandson, Milorad Loncar.
During the 2011 Croatia Census, she was oldest living person in Croatia. In 2011, she had only one living daughter. At that time, her 9 years younger sister, Milena, was still alive. At the end of her life, she had 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
Ljubica Loncar died in February 2012 in Sibenik, Croatia at the age of 106 years, 328 days.
