Lois Work (née Phifer; 19 December 1906 – 5 February 2017) was an American supercentenarian who was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2024.
Biography[]
Lois Mamie Phifer was born in Mooresville, North Carolina, USA, on 19 December 1906. Her parents were Harrison and Emma Phifer. She married Marvin Sylvester Work on 28 April 1934, and had at least three children with him: sons Corenn and Marvin Grey Jr., and daughter, Jeannette.
