Louisa Juliane Wilhelmine Froehlich (née Frank; 18 September 1864 – 16 April 1975) was an American supercentenarian. Her age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group.
Biography[]
Louisa Froehlich was born as Louisa Juliane Wilhelmine Frank in Jackson, Washington, Wisconsin, USA on 18 September 1864 as the daughter of Prussian immigrants Johann Gottlieb Frank and Wilhelmine Krause. She married Ernest H. C. Froehlich in Washington, Wisconsin on 25 April 1901 and had two daughters who both died in infancy. She was widowed in 1932 and in 1943 started collecting social security, reportedly giving all the money to charity. Louisa Froehlich died in Waukesha, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA on 16 April 1975, at the age of 110 years, 210 days. At the time of her death she was the oldest living person in Wisconsin.
