Louise Julia Marie Flandrin (22 January 1913 – 8 March 2023) was a French supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2023.
Biography[]
Louise Flandrin was born in Saint-Simeon, Orne, Normandy, France, on 22 January 1913. The commune of her birth merged into the new commune of Passais Villages on New Year's Day 2016. She never married nor had children.
Flandrin's older sister, Yvonne Prodhomme, lived to the age of 109 years, 133 days. The pair have a combined age of over 219 years, the third-highest in known French history. Their younger sister, Simonne Guesdon, died at the age of 103 years, 268 days. The trio have a combined age of over 323 years, currently the second-highest in France.
In January 2023, Flandrin celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Louise Flandrin died in Le Bar-sur-Loup, Alpes-Maritimes, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France, on 8 March 2023, at the age of 110 years, 45 days, three days after her age was validated. At the time of her death, she was the second-oldest known living person in Alpes-Maritimes department, behind Antoinette Bermond.
