Lucile Hamilton (Lucille) Pierce (30 September 1897 – 27 May 2007) was an American centenarian.
Biography[]
According to the 1900 census, Lucile Hamilton was born on 30 September 1897 in Shelby, Alabama, USA to Robert Lee Hamilton (1866–1906) and Mary Etta Hamilton Baker (1872–1958) and she had 11 siblings, including Walter Kenton Hamilton Sr. (1889–1962) and Luther Edgar Hamilton Sr. (1892–1957).
When Lucile was 18 years old she married the love of her life Eugene Joseph Pearce (1892–1932) on 1 July 1914 in Birmingham, Alabama. Lucile only had 2 kids both were with Eugene, the oldest child Robert Charles Pearce (1918–1990) and the youngest child Joseph Milton Pearce (1922–1998). Some time after that, the exact marriage date is unknown. She might've not even gotten married in the mid 30s after Eugenes passing, but according to a newspaper article from 1938, she accused her "husband" Maxwell Pearce of beating her and Maxwell went to jail that year. Lucile had many family in her older years. Lucile moved to Birmingham, Alabama, USA in the 1930s, and she lived there until she died on 27 May 2007 in Gardendale, Jefferson County, Alabama, USA, at the age of 109 years, 239 days.
