Ludmila Zemanova [Czech: Ludmila Zemanová] (4 November 1913 – 4 June 2023) was a Czech centenarian who was the oldest living Czech-born person and the second-oldest living person in the Czech Republic at the time of her death, behind Bedriska Adamickova.
Biography[]
Ludmila Zemanova was born in Prague, Austria-Hungary (present-day Czech Republic) on 4 November 1913. In November 2013, she celebrated her 100th birthday and became a centenarian.
She became the oldest known living Czech-born person, following the death of 109-year-old Zdenka Kasparova on 13 March 2023.
Ludmila Zemanova died in Smichov, Prague, Czech Republic on 4 June 2023 at the age of 109 years, 212 days. She was also the penultimate surviving person in the Czech Republic born before 1916 and the last Czech-born person born before 1915. Following her death, then 108-year-old Elisabeth Wallhauser of Germany became the oldest known living Czech-born person.
