Biography[]
Lydia Hitchcock claimed to have been born on 3 August 1843 in Allegany county, Maryland, USA. She was the daughter of John and Sarah (McKee) Humbird, her father having served four terms as mayor of the city of Cumberland. Her husband was Mr. Luke Hitchcock, whom she married with in January 1861. She died on 4 November 1952, at the claimed age of 109 years, 93 days, in Cumberland, Maryland, USA. However, 1850-1870 census matches support a birth in 1842 and later census matches support either 1842, or 1843.
