Lydia Newton (née Schleppler; 23 March 1893 – 30 October 2005) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Lydia Newton was born in Illinois on 23 March 1893 to Louis and Elizabeth (née Dolder) Schleppler. Both of her parents were born in Alsace, France. She was married to Lloyd Wallace Newton who died in 1950. The couple had three children. She was a Seventh-Day Adventist.
Lydia Newton died in Sedona, Arizona, USA on 30 October 2005 at the age of 112 years, 221 days.
